Lesson 4
Key 3: Get to know yourself really well
Ten
Rules of Being Human by Dr. Cherie Carter-Scott
- You Will Receive a Body.
You may like it or hate it, but it will be yours for the entire period this time around. - You Will Be Presented With Lessons.
You are enrolled in a full-time informal school called life. Each day in this school you will have the opportunity to learn lessons. You may like the lessons or think them irrelevant or stupid. - There Are No Mistakes, Only Lessons.
Growth is a process of trial and error: experimentation. The "failed" experiments are as much a part of the process as the experiment that ultimately "works." - A Lesson Is Repeated Until Learned.
A lesson will be presented to you in various forms until you have learned it. When you have learned it, you can go on to the next lesson. - Learning Does Not End.
There is no part of life that does not contain its lessons. If you are alive, there are lessons to be learned. - "There" Is No Better Than
"Here."
When your "there" has become a "here," you will simply obtain another "there" that will again look better than "here." - Others Are Merely Mirrors of You.
You cannot love or hate something about another person unless it reflects something you love or hate about yourself. - What You Make of Your Life Is Up to
You.
The answers to life's questions lie inside you. All you need do is look, listen and trust. - All Your Answers Lie Inside of You.
So listen to your heart! Trust your inner coach! - You Will Forget All of This at Birth!
Get back to your inner truth: faith, awakening, wisdom, releasing self-imposed limitations.

2. Spirituality/ God
3. Sensitivity /niceness
4. Relatedness
5. Pleasure
- Your total score: 188
- How you feel about this
evaluation such as you agree with the results etc.
I agree with the results. I am finishing my degree in teaching
so it makes sense that would be my first value. I also am a very spiritual
person so it makes sense for that to be on the list as well. The only thing on
my list that I don’t really see fitting is pleaser but looking at the other
options they don’t really seem to fit either. Pleaser and the rest are really
close to the same number.
- What action plan or how
to you plan to express your values in your life if you are not doing so
now.
I plan on
finishing up my teaching degree, attend church more, and do better at being
nice and making connections with my friends.
