After photos we took Kenzie over to the local grocery store to sell Girl Scout cookies with her troup. After she was done doing that the older kids packed there bag for the week to spend the weekend by Grandma and grandpa for spring break. Hopefully we can get some spring cleaning/organizing done while there away.

3/25/2018
So I have been pretty busy with life lately so the blog has kind of been put on the back burner. I will do a quick update about this weekend and then do another blog latter about what has been going on in life. This weekend, particularly Sunday was rather busy. We went to church for Palm Sunday which is always fun seeing the kids parade around waving palms and singing. After church we went and got Abraham his first hair cut and I can’t believe how much it turned him into a little man. Why is it that the first haircut always transforms your little boy from baby to toddler?

Abraham’s Birthday
today my youngest turns 1 and i don’t know what it is about first birthdays but I always get to be a depressed emotional mess thinking of them growing up so fast. Today I took off of work to be with him and finish getting things ready for his birthday party on Sunday. It’s crazy to think how a year ago I was in the hospital getting ready for a c-section and now he is here and a year older. Anyway, enough rambling. I made a video of his first year enjoy!

Lesson 6
Lesson 6: How to get what
you really want
A successful technique is
through goal setting. Goals make a difference in achieving your dream.
Goals make the difference:
Highly successful people use
goal setting as part of their success formula.
What
do you really want? What do you want to have in your life? What kind of person
would you like to become? What do you want to do? Where do you want to go?
Turning dreams into goals
1.
prioritize your list
2.
write a short sentence that affirms your top four or five goals
3.
write your goals in the present tense
4.
be positive
5.
make your goal as specific as you can, and if possible place a
date on it
6.
set goals for different areas of your life
I will reach level 3 customer service agent by July 2018.
I will work on my work goals set with my supervisor on a weekly
basis.
RELATIONSHIPS / COMMUNICATION
I allow my relationship with John to be easy, relaxed,
comfortable, friendly, harmonious, loving, constructive, supportive, open,
honest, kindly, mutually beneficial.
I allow myself to love and accept myself no matter what.
DIET
I will start a work out plan and be physically active at least 2
days a week
I will do Yoga at least 2-3 times during the week in the morning
I will allow myself to enjoy eating food that keep my body
slender, healthy and fit.
GENERAL HEALTH
I will take my medication regularly to help maintain my mental
health.
I allow myself to sleep well and awake refreshed and well rested
using my CPAP machine
I allow myself to easily and cheerfully establish and maintain a
lifestyle that promotes good health and fitness.
I lovingly and willingly release and let go all of that which
does not serve me positively and progressively.
Getting Committed
If you
are committed to your goals, you will succeed
Regardless
of how important a goal is to you, there will come a time when you will become
discouraged.
Go
back to your top goals and, on another page in your journal, write a short
paragraph describing, in detail, all the benefits you will gain by achieving
each particular goal.
Next,
do the opposite. Write a short paragraph describing what you will lose and what
you are already missing out on by not having achieved your goal. Be tough on
yourself.
Five steps to setting goals
Step
one: I write down 6-month, 1-year, 3-year, 5- and 10-year goals in every area
of my life. I write them in the present and with specifics.
Step
two: I find pictures of the things that symbolize my goals and I create a
treasure map of all the things I want to attract.
Step
three: I journal as to why I want each goal and how serious I am about
obtaining it and what I am willing to do to make the goal a reality.
Step
four: I write my top 5 goals on an index card and then make 5 copies of that
card. One goes in my planner, one on my nightstand, one on my bathroom mirror,
one on my dashboard and one goes on my computer monitor. I look at these and
think about them 3-5 times every day.
Step
five: Each month I re-evaluate my goals and re-prioritize and repeat Step four
above.
Define your purpose: Why do you want it so badly?
Be committed and know what
you will benefit once you gain your goal.
- This will keep you motivated. By
staying in your heart, you will be able to focus on the great feelings and
other benefits too.
- Start your goal statements with
"I allow."
Determine your resources: Who is your greatest resource?
- When is the best time to begin?
- Should you break down your journey
into small pieces?
- What obstacles could come up for you?
Who can you ask for help?
- Do you have a timeline? Gauge your
progress.
- Don't miss the opportunities that
come along the way. Stay open.
Create an Action Plan:
- The key to personal power is action -
inner motivation, not external prompts.
- Determine the "price" you
are going to have to pay, in full and in advance.
Resolve: Stay Committed to Work From the Heart.
- We are driven to gain pleasure or to
avoid pain.
- When you lose sight, close your eyes
and focus on what will you lose and miss out on by not achieving your
goal? Then focus on what rewards you gain by achieving your goals.
Take Action Today and Every Day:
- Remember the universe rewards
movement.
- Every night - visualize what you want
before you go to sleep.
- Anticipate obstacles and strategies.
- Adjust accordingly and develop
flexibility.
- Maintain momentum.
It takes work to change and
it takes commitment to be on the creating end of this change. But if you
remember that success is an inside job; keep your passion alive by not tying it
to an end result; use your imagination daily; and dream big, you will be so
proud of yourself when your life starts reflecting back to you all this work.
Here is a top ten list to inspire you:
The Top 10 Steps for
Achieving Personal and Professional Success
- Have a clear intention.
Know what it is
that you want to accomplish whether it is to start a new business, lose 10
pounds or run for political office. Be clear about what steps you will need to
take to get there.
- Ask for help.
It is a sign of
strength, not weakness, to reach out for support. When we are trying to stretch
and grow we need support - don't be afraid to ask for it.
- Love what you do and do what you
love.
You have a much
greater chance to succeed if you are embarking on something you are truly
passionate about. Only you can know what is right for you to do - listen to
your heart.
- Be attractive.
When out in the
world who do you want to be around - the grump or the person who smiles and
says hello? What you put out there comes back to you. The energy you project to
those around you will come back to you tenfold and help you to reach your
goals.
- Do anything!
You never know
what it is that will open that door for you - try anything (well, almost
anything!). Maria Shriver has talked about her early jobs in the news business
- there is no job or task too small - do anything!
- Be fearless!
Don't let fear
stop you from achieving your dreams. Do whatever it takes to make your dreams
come true. Life is short, don't live with regrets for what you didn't do.
- Be creative.
So you don't
have endless money to fix up your house or start that new business - there are
always ways to do things that don't cost an arm or a leg. Sometimes not having
everything at your fingertips forces you to use talents you never knew you had!
- Use what and who you know.
We all have
people and resources that we can draw upon. Barter, trade, use the contacts you
have. We all know lots of people with lots of talents, and we have talents to
share. Build that network!
- Align yourself with the best.
Search out the
top people in your field of interest and learn from them. Volunteer, put
yourself out there. Ask for their advice and help. Most people are more than
happy to share some nugget of their success story.
- Be assertive.
You don't have
to be obnoxious - just make yourself known and ask for what you want. If one person
doesn't respond, move on to the next. If one situation doesn't pan out, try
again. You have to keep trying, not everything you do will work, not all of it
has to. Don't give up! If you have a goal, you can achieve it!
Creating
the life of your dreams
1.
Consciously
choose what you really want.
2.
Always
tell the truth.
3.
Focus
on becoming a Lover in Life
4.
Take
responsibility for everything you think, say and do.
5.
Live
in the moment.
6.
Focus
your awareness.
7.
Listen
carefully and authentically.
8.
Consciously
choose new habits.
9.
Practice,
Persistence, and Patience.
10. Serve the needs of others.
11. Celebrate your life.
Lesson 5
Lesson 5: Key 4: align your head
with your heart
See it first: Give yourself permission to write down your
dreams. Don't skimp on the details. They are often the keys to unlocking joy.
IDEAL
LIFE EXERCISE
- Sit quietly, close your eyes and imagine or visualize
what your ideal life and career would look and feel like. Try to get a
clear picture of yourself in your ideal working/living environment.
Emphasize details.
- How can you best honor your needs, wants, desires,
interests, personality traits, aptitudes, skills, values and beliefs? What
kind of person would you like to become?
- In your journal, write down your ideal life. Use these
questions to help you:
What features from your previous jobs do you want to include?
How can you best honor your values and share your gifts?
How do you want to be spending your time?
Who is in your life?
How do you feel?
What does your typical day look like?
What are you doing?
What kind of activities are you engaged in?
Who are you interacting with?
Who are your ideal co-workers, bosses and clients?
- Try to describe the general feelings associated with
your activities rather than the activities themselves. The more you gain a
sense of the emotions attached to your work, the better you will be able
to attract the kind of work you'll love.
Success Is an Inside Job
If
you want something to change on the outside, you'll have to change something on
the inside.
Resistance feels like trying to move forward with the brakes on. It
takes a conscious effort to overcome the unconscious effort (habit) of holding
down the feelings. That unconscious habit is resistance.
Our
resistance is our greatest block to effortless releasing, happiness and
success.
The
antidote for this learned helplessness is to replace fear and ignorance with
courage and confidence.
Key
#4: Align Your Head With Your Heart
You
can react or respond to situations. A reaction comes from the head and it is
usually a control issue.
There
are two decision-making modalities within you - the head and the heart. Many
people mechanically make choices from the head because they are not yet aware
that there's another choice - heart intelligence. Heart intelligence works as
an efficient guideline for head reasoning.
By
shifting your focus to your heart feelings during a decision-making process,
you will feel constricted muscles actually relax and help you balance your
perceptions to gain a clearer picture of the situation and hopefully then
choose a kinder way to respond.
Shifting from the head to
the heart
- Breathe, get centered, be present
- State intention "I am."
- See what negative talk comes up
- Freeze it!
- Shift to the heart-think about
something that makes you feel good, be grateful about someone or something
in your life.
- Melt the frozen thought - see it
slowly fading away or melting into the light.
- Breathe: ask "How do I handle
this best?" or "What is the next step?"
- Acknowledge the first thought that
pops in - no judgment!
- Trust your heart - your higher self
or inner coach.
- State a new intention affirming your
new reality.
Create Your Reality Through
Your Beliefs.
(self-care) really means:
- Shift your thinking from society's
definition which doesn't distinguish between selfishness and SELF-ishness
(self-care).
- Be willing to accept that
SELF-ishness is good.
This involves changing your beliefs:
- Easy for some, harder for others.
- Takes time for the body, mind and
spirit to integrate new information.
- Attraction is based on the
"who" of who you are.
- Allow yourself to be in the driver's
seat; accept you have the personal power to create your reality.
- Accept that you are worthy, willing
and able to redesign your life.
Look
at it this way: If you don't like and take care of yourself, how can you fully
offer that Self to others and be attractive to them?
As you align your head with your heart, you will more easily:
- be willing to put yourself first and
thus be able to give more to others.
- accept SELF-ishness as a good thing
and understand it is a skill to master.
- get your needs met deeply enough.
- be able to create more than enough
reserves.
- release any resistance that keeps you
from seeing your ideal life
- have less stress as you apply your
heart intelligence
